Frank
Salcido an Apaphoe is a very knowledgeable man in the story and lore of his people.
Frank
is also a talented individual who paints teepees, robes and blesses them in the sacred ways by chanting and dancing and praying.
These
Rituals are very imp. to the Indian and Frank carries this Philosophy with him
He
works as a tour guide for the Museum at Colico Bay in Yellow stone Ntl. Park.
This
intimate portrait of an Apaphoe is just that.
True
to detail and sensitivity that I hope to portray the American Indian today.
To
my friend Frank Salcido I dedicate this painting.
